Mad Mike Hughes - Tests, Launches, Developments

Fri Feb 02, 2018 3:37 pm

For today, our spaceman and hero extraordinaire, Mad Mike Hughes, plans to shoot himself up to 62 kilometers altitude to see if the earth is truly flat. (In truth, Earth is a cube, and each side is flat.)

Are you watching it live? What do you think?

Per the update it appears he is not going to launch due to issues with land management and the FAA.

Well, I'm not sure if that update refers to his February 2018 attempt - because he had similar issues in 2017...

I just have a hard time figuring out how a person that is self taught, and believes in a flat earth, is going to launch a rocket that will get him anywhere close to 61 KM up.

Ironcally, if you precisely measured the point in the sky where the inevitable explosion happens, the velocity vector of the vehicle at the time and then precisely measure the coordinates of where the various limbs end up, you could probably get a decent measurement of the coriolis effect, whereby this heroic man's demise could be used to prove the earth is indeed a spinning sphere...

Love the title, btw.
I'll do my own airline. With Blackjack. And hookers. In fact, forget the airline.
