Ivanka Trump

Mon Feb 26, 2018 7:52 am

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKHkkhvjKMg

I have to admit I am a huge Ivanka fan. Being a model, businesswoman, mom and advisor to the president. She is regal and such a contrast to her bombastic father. I love her sense of style and this video of her walking in and dining with the Pres of Korea was amazing. She has the manners of a finishing school debutante. I also love her walk, which she probably got from her runway work as a model.

It's a reach but I do say she could be the next Margaret Thatcher. I would love to see her seek some sort of elected office in the future.

Why, what kind of policies does she pursue? What kind of views does she have that you agree with? Or do you just want to look at a pretty picture of someone whom could use a spoon in the right way?
Many happy landings, greetings from The Netherlands!

I thought y'all were supposed to hate Javanka? She's just as worthless as her brothers Uday and Qusay. She's like a bargain bin Kardashian. The only difference is she's vaguely pretty, which I guess for republicans means she's smart.

Not everyone's going to find a comparison to Margaret Thatcher a good thing... But wasn't she a hardliner against the soviets? I'm not sure we are seeing similar out of Ivanka.

I understand that she is really a New York Democrat so I'm surprised that you are so smitten with her.

Comparisons with Thatcher is a very long bow. Thatcher spent years in politics working her way up. Trump started at very near the top with zero experience in politics or governing.

My hope for the lady is that she can get out of that nightmare she is in an enjoy life with the kids and husband, Daddy is heading for a major fall and that might hurt her chances more than her lack of experience. Daddy heading to prison would shut down a political care very fast.

So is Cuomo but I votef for him. This all goes back to the fact most if not all of you can understand that owning guns doesn't make you far right. Being fiscally conservative and socially liberal is what most reflects this country. It's why Trump won because he too was a moderate before he had to pretend to be a conservative for the Primary.

I have tried to explain in a million times here that I am not a conservative. The trolls here can't have the middle because it destroys their warped world view that you can't have legal immigration, guns, fair taxes with balanced budgets abortion and legal drugs. Their world is super high taxes, open borders, no guns and high deficits. Or you are a racist bigot clinging to your guns.

Ivanka Trump for office? Good.
Chelsea Clinton for office? Bad.

Anyone see a double standard?

You certainly don't act like a moderate. A moderate person would be open-minded to debates on certain topics, like gun control. Yet one look at the NRA thread and if that's the definition of moderate, I cringe at the definition of extremist.

So so sorry Nikky V for misunderstanding you and calling you “far right” solely because you own a gun.

I’m glad you have such a great understanding of all of us libtards though—we’re all about super high taxes, open borders, no guns, and high deficits.

(Although I must say this Guns, Drugs, and Abortions Party you are describing sounds really cool.)

Perhaps one thing Ivanka and Maggie have in common is intimate knowledge of a President of the United States?

Maggie had more balls than all of the Trumps put together. It's an absolute disgrace to even contemplate a comparison.

What is open minded about Gun control? I am on record here saying ban bump stocks, I would agree with raising age to purchase getting rid of the gun show loophole, better background checks etc but because I voted Trump it is ignored and you call names.

What is you open minded gun control bill? It all goes back to banning semi automatic weapons. If I am wrong lets hear your bill.

Any bill comes down to what is constitutional, otherwise my bill would be very different than what I think would be OK now. I do think auto and semi auto weapons should be banned unless special circumstance or requirements are in place. I also don't mind making things harder for someone to launch a whole bunch of bullets at people easily (such as high capacity magazines, bump stocks, modified hardware that turns a weapon into "auto", etc.) I know any bans, limits, or regulations will still not stop all violence and gun deaths, and I am OK with that but the process should be that responsible people, ones that would be welcomed in a well regulated militia, should be allowed to demonstrate competence and own firearms.

"Strict constructionists" or "Originalists" should also be able to see that the 2nd amendment was written as a whole piece. And as written at the time versus how arms are allowed now are different and the question is always where does that line fall and why does it change? (Why can't someone own any and all possible "arms" such as cannon's and other deadlier weapons similar to what was available at the time the constitutions was written?

Ivanka has no spine. She is unable to speak up when Trump does/says something idiotic. I hope she goes back to her rich life and leaves politics behind. Compare her to Thatcher??? OMG, how offensive! Thatcher is one of my biggest heroes. The Baroness's bones are twisting in her coffin!

This is nepotism. We have laws against it, but for some reason, where we are. Here's the deal. Trump has installed family members and friends into our system of government. They are profiting off of ALL of us by being able to create legislation that benefits them. Trump has NEVER been a selfless man, and neither is anyone in his administration. Ivanka is jetting off to South Korea, as a representative of us. I mean, we are on the brink of nuclear war with North Korea, and we send who...Ivanka Trump, shoe salesman/fasion designer. Then again, our president is a reality TV personality. Why oh why can Trump supporters just not see this for what it is? It's lunacy. Every damn day is one crazy thing after another.

On November 8, 2016, when people voted, was this what people really wanted or did they vote for a concept that turned out to be a lie?

Why would any American want oligarchy?

As with many populist movements around the World, it seems an autocratic/oligarchic form of government is seen by its supporters as acceptable collateral for the pursuit of the issues they have been made angry about through misrepresentation and false characterization such as immigration, religion, guns, abortion, LGBT, race, etc...

It's all based on fostering anger to rally people to a false cause and these people ultimately would not care as they would perceive said government to be on 'their side'. Not to mention that these people tend to favor being led by strong personalities (as in, loud and confident, regardless of actual competency).
I personally believe it's due to their inability to sustain critical thinking or laziness of thought, or maybe the fear of an evolving World and the consequential psychological need for a 'father' figure to protect them, but that's just my opinion.

A question that haunts me, what did they vote for? I saw a phony buffoon who was and is a Charlatan. A spoiled rich kid who avoided military service and loved to fire people. I voted for Hillary, who I never liked and I knew she was a devious person. I knew we had enough of a slant towards Oligarchy already and just knew this guy would make it worse. I still cannot believe how dumb Union people were to vote for him. Look at the reforms environmentally, financially, communications wise, and taxes he and his cohorts have instituted so far. Look at his treatment of our Institutions, his damnation of a free press. Oligarchy is alive and well here, and probably growing under this man and his cohorts. Just look at his administration, pathetic.

Righties like Nik have been screaming and crying against a Clinton political dynasty because that would be too much power in the hands of one family or something idiotic. But, Bush I and Bush II were the greatest and now Ivanka?

Oh, but I forgot: (D) need to be silenced while (R) are the only party worthy of ruling.

Yea I am a rightie just like I am from NZ too? I never screamed against a political dynasty because the fact is Clinton was not a dynasty she was rejected as was your world view of high tax open border European utopia with no guns. When I reference Clinton it is to point out your bias. I never said Bush was the greatest that is more fantasy in your head somewhere.

When Hillary ran for Senate, you righties were up in arms and so mad about her running because of family dynasties. But, when the Bush family were pointed out, the rightie response was "but, but, but.... HILLARY!!!"

You never understand policy and where it puts people. You take one belief and then group that person into a hatred that has grown inside your head. When you have one finger pointed out accusing someone, there are three fingers pointing back.

Hillary has been in law and two of the three branches of government. She has knowledge of international relations. She has knowledge of the nuts and bolts and cogs of the law making process. She can sound like she is speaking from the heart. I did not say she does, I said she can sound like it.

Ivanka, on the other hand, sells pretty dresses and jewelry and thinks her father never touched women inappropriately. Zero policy experience, zero government experience. She is above average on looks. How does that qualify her for the presidency? How does that make her better for the office than, say, Kamala Harris or Claire McCaskill or Susan Collins?

Wow, I can believe how easily some adults are so easily hogswaggled by simplistic imagines (porn imagines excluded of course) to such an extreme.

Particularly, when such individuals show all of what they're about so publicly. I guess the old pastor/rabbi/Imam approach (only acknowledging your favorite passages, while ignoring the features/qualities that can be construed as blantantly offensive).

Pastors and the like love talking about scriptures about forgiveness, kindness, etc...but ignore passages about 'selling your daughter for whatever reason...' see Exodus and the like.

Ivanka Trumps' unmentionable?

Her own mother (Ivana) actually accused Donald Trump (Drumpf original family name) ..of Rape in her divorce filing.

Ivanka Trump firmly admitted within the past few days that she ' believes her father OVER his 16+ accusers leveling charges of sexual misconduct and abuse.

I think it would have been more honest, if the OP just opened with Ivanka (for all her faults) is my kinda girl...(still puzzled her becuz she's not even in the Gisele Bündchen, Meaghan Markle range of HOT)

I mean what is so AMAZING about her walking with the South Korean Prez? Jeez..one wonders, what would happen if naked Ivanka pics appeared on ur laptop?....a spooge damaged logic board?
Judging by the gushing so far, I'd guess that's already occurred.

Good lord...!

I have to disagree with you, NIKV69. Sure, she is a very pretty woman (if you ignore her hips) On the rest of the things you admire of her, she comes short. As a business woman, well, we can all be entrepreneurs if your family gives you seed capital and covers your losses. I do agree she is an excellent mom, that, one notices when she appears with her kids. At the same time, I do not believe she has a very independent way of thinking as she readily converted to a rather extreme form of another religion than her own, just so she could marry her current husband. She is well educated and well read, and she knows how to have am interesting converstion with important world leaders. At the same time she has a very thin skin when she is being interviewed and questions are not to her liking. The comparison to Margaret Thatcher is just not even in the same ball park. She does have some redeeming qualities, but she lacks experience in affairs of state, as an example: Her public conduct is at odds with that of a very high level government employee. I do feel sorry for her, as she APPEARS, emphathis on "appears" to be more honest than the men surrounding her, starting with her husband. I believe she signed up for this because she had no choice and unfortunately she might get screwed tangentionally by others' wrong doings.
