BUR Airport Updates

Sat Aug 11, 2001 5:59 am

For BUR fans, your news update.

1) The United daily 727-200 from DEN will be replaced by the 737-300/500 series aircraft. Email from United: "The last DEN-BUR B727-222 flight will be September 4, 2001, and the last BUR-DEN on September 5th. We will still fly the 727 to LAX for a while yet, as the last aircraft won't retire until 2003."

2) Air Laughlin, formerly a 737-200 operator from this airport, is now utilizing a 1966 Eagle Jet F-27 (N279MA) which I'm doing on Wednesday. Service is four days a week, I think.

3) American is operating the new third flight to DFW. (MD-80)

All other updates are welcome.
