Why Virgin?

Sun Aug 19, 2001 5:48 am

Why did branson call his airline "virgin"? Does it have a reason or does THIS virgin have nothing to do with THAT virgin...? Every once in a while I ask myself why he called his airline (and also his Coke) like he did...
I can't understand it..

Many years ago, Sir Richard named his record label "Virgin" because he was new and inexperienced in that industry.

One reason and like a lot of other things Branson does: publicity.
