Virgin's Statement!

Sun Aug 19, 2001 11:48 am

I just noticed this today while searching on A.net . I don't know how long this was on them, or if it still is, but I just kind of found it funny.

"NO WAY BA/AA"

They had it back when the original AA/BA deal was announced (1996?), and then started taking it off when talks fell through (but I believe they left it one two airplanes). Now that talks are back, though, I hear they are begining to paint them on planes again.

BA should paint 'No way VS/SIA' on their fleet.
Oh I forgot, like most other airlines they are above schoolboy hissy fits.

You didn't see Easy Jet's sexist sneer at BA female F/A's on adverts posted on London underground stations last year.
More recently, Easy Jet boasted that they were flying the British Prime Minister on his holidays, then Tony Blair flew Ryanair!
VS and Easy Jet operate in the liberalised market in Europe, there are no equivalents in France and Germany, still they cry!
