Thanks for the nice words about Bogota El Dorado Intl.
I agree with you that El Dorado Intl. fails on the international connection aisle.
I personally don't have to complain about this, I've never had a connection flight the same day!!
I think that the new terminal wasn't build for that at the time. Also Avianca helped a lot to offer low fares from Europe and the USA via BOG to other cities in Latin America. So numbers of passengers grew since then for the international connections aisle. That's why there are some days that the international connection aisle can be slow at special hours with lots of flights at the same time.
With the second runway El dorado has now more opportunities in the north of South America to became a good hub (I hope so!!)
I assume that you're from Chile!
How about the international airport in Santiago de Chile? Do you have some web-sites about it?
Lan Chile is running very well the last years now. The management is in good hands now!
Comparing to Avianca, Avianca is going to deep trouble now if they don't work more efficient. For me this is very sad. I love Avianca! Over the last 10 years now, flew with them from Europe to Colombia. This year I must go with Iberia because of the extremely high fares of Avianca. What a shame, because Avianca have good service on their 767’s, business and economy.
How about Lan Chile A340's? They must have good/excellent service to several cities in Latin America. Will they fly also to BOG in the near future with A340's or only with their 763?
I wish that Avianca has such a good results as Lan Chile have these days, but the war in Colombia stops Avianca to grow. Really, really sad.
Wimpycol now @ AMS but next month @ BOG
Colombia... can't wait to be there again!!!!!!!!!!
