Futere Of Airline Pilots

Sun Aug 26, 2001 2:30 am

Hai,

I was thinking, what is the future of airline pilots?
You can already land an airliner with automatic pilot, so I would say that, somewhere in the future the pilot won't be needed anymore.

Soon we will see (or maybe we already have?) aircrafts that can fly without a pilot. But this is mainly military, it will take a long time, if ever, before we will see this with airlines. The passengers might not like the situation without a pilot. It feels much safer to have a person in the front rather then a computer.
In the end there might be one pilot and a dog in cockpit. The pilot will see that everything is ok, and the dog will bite the pilot if he touches anything  Smile/happy/getting dizzy.
