Bankstown Airport is a good option, you got many flight schools there, like AFTS, Navair, Axis, but to name a few. Their prices are very similar in terms of cost and I think the cost for foreigners is about 70-80,000 for training only, then you got accomodation, food, books, uniforms, etc.
Bankstown airport is fun and is the busiest airport in the southern hemisphere in terms of landings and take-offs (over 500,000/year). There are a lot of pilots (based from other airports) that do not like flying into Bankstown because they are scared of their procedures and GAAP control zone, hence what I am saying is that if you can operate in and out of YSBK you can go anywhere. When it comes to you advanced IFR training you got YSSY (Kingsford Smith) 10 miles away with ILS and Richmond as an alternative. Also while you are not flying, there is a big city right next door to you so you can avoid boredom in the weekends or rainy days.
You should look up on Google for flight schools based around Bankstown, there is about ten overall, some really big ones and some really small ones, so its up to you. I went to AFTS which used to be a really good school when it was owned by a former senior Qantas Captain, he unfortunatelly passed away in 1997 and ever since then the flight school has gone downhill. I think at the moment the most regarded flying schools in Bankstown are Axis and Navair. Also another good way of getting to know some schools is to look in an Australian Flying Magazine, you'll find heaps.
In summary, there is a lot of choice out there. But be careful because there are cowboys out there too.
