The 777 I flew from ORD to DFW last August did have the PVT's.

Also from MIA to DFW, on flights 908, and 069, and DFW to MIA on flight 1614, as far as I know. I think they only offer PTV's on their international, 3 cabin 777's. The flight I was on from MIA-DFW was continuing on to DFW from EZE, but they do have some 777 flights in and out of MIA that are 2 cabin versions, without PTV's in coach.

All AA 777s are in a 3 cabin configuration and all feature PTVs in coach.

AA's Transpacific 777 fleet has the old First Class and more Business Class seats, while the Transatlantic fleet features AA's new Flagship Suite.

Latin America 777 flights are generally targeted for Flagship Suite equipped aircraft, although it doesn't always turn out to be that way.

Any travel you may have done on domestically configured 777s would have to have been on United.

Everything said above is correct. One thing of note. I flew on AA777 ORD to DFW last week. They are in 3 class seating, but on that route, they use the business class seats for coach seating.

Most of the time, I am paying coach and getting business class seats, still coach service, but a much nicer seat, PTVs etc.....

Great plane if you get a chance to fly on it. I believe the ORD to DFW is a continuation of a European route.

AA does not have any 777-200s in domestic configuration, that is UA that does. AA's only domestic routes with 772s, AFAIK, are MIA-DFW/DFW-MIA, MIA-LAX/LAX-MIA, and DFW-ORD/ORD-DFW. To Latin America, out of MIA at least, AA uses the same 772s they use to Europe. The market between Miami and Buenos Aires is just like that between New York City and London. It attracts a lot of high profile customers, and is a big money maker. Currently, GRU has a daily 772 flight and EZE has two daily 772 flights, both from MIA. MIA-SCL, one daily MIA-GIG flight, and the second daily MIA-GRU flight are supposed to be going 772 by year's end. As a result, Asuncion, Paraguay, served via GRU (MIA-GRU-ASU), will go 777 as well, and possibly Belo Horizonte, served via GIG (MIA-GIG-BHZ).

You are right that AA does not have any 2 class 777's. I have also booked the business class seats on the 777's on AA when paying coach, as they do not operate a business class service on that route (MIA-DFW). My confusion was the fact that on certain flights between DFW-MIA,(of late, flight 943) they do not allow coach passengers access to C class seats. Coach starts in row 20. On the flights where they do allow coach passengers access to the C class fights, "coach" starts in row 9.
