JetBlue PTV's

Fri Aug 31, 2001 5:13 pm

I'm flying JetBlue in 2 months and am curious if among the 24 channels available, is there a "Flight Tracking" or also known as "Air Show" channel onboard to monitor your flight? I've tried using this channel on Virgin Atlantic but it didn't work for most of the flight.

Thanks, Jeff

Yep, they have a map quest channel which shows speed, altitude, and location.

I had my first JB experience last week (JFK-FLL-JFK). Remarkable operation! I call it a sophisticated Southwest or Southwest chic -- all the low fares and customer service without the kitsch and all the sophistication of NY.

I loved the TVs, but frankly was too busy with work on the flight. Still, it was nice to watch CNBC and the like.

They have the same things that many heavies have in economy. A screen that has altitude, speed, ETA, current position, etc. It is great.

Your questions seem to have been answered. I followed the flight's progression every step of the way on the monitor during my last flight with them.

Thought I'd throw in my commentary to another question, where I said my piece about JetBlue. Have a great flight (I know you will)!

Ask the F/A's for a bag of their blue potato chips when they come around. Now THAT'S a novelty!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
