MIA is the worst airport I have ever been to in the US. I really was expecting to go to a nice, busy, O'hare type airport. However, I was COMPLETELY mistaken, in no way this airport is nice. Its old, its stuffy, its dirty, its dark (has VERY few windows), and the baggage claim and rental car agencies area in Concourse F are an absolute nightmare.
Now, I am not a very tall person, yet the ceiling was EXTREMELY low.
Generally, the whole airport's ceiling is low. The AA part is better than UA's gates, but still miserable. The departure on Concourse F isn't horrible, but still poor.
Overall, its a horrible airport. It felt like a prison somewhat because it was almost windowless. The FEW windows there are extremely tinted, so it was dark, the whole airport looked the same from the inside day, and night. The only thing that keeps the inside of MIA lighted is artificial light, which isn't very nice after a while, ESPECIALLY during the day.
I don't know, maybe I'm used to DEN having so many windows.
I was also stressed during that period and not feeling very good, maybe I exagerrated a bit.
Anyways, MIA is STILL not a nice airport.
