I was just curious if anybody else did this or was I just a freak!?
When I was little (pre-teen) I used to sit outside from sun-up to sun-down with a pair of binoculars, a watch, pen and paper and log every single airplane that flew by. Hmmmm looks like a United DC-8, ooohhh Pan-Am L-1011. Oh yeah! Piedmont 727!! I new that the Wardair 747 would be landing around 6 or 7 in the evening or when the LTU would be around. Ahhhhh yes, those were the days. I actually used to get teased in school when a plane would fly over..."What is it? A Delta? Hahahah!" Didnt care for that part but oh well. Life in the TPA approach path was great!
