Seat pitch for USAirways is 31" or 32", depending on the aircraft you're on. For more specifics, you can log on to http://www.usairways.com for information on the seat pitch for each aircraft in their fleet.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I "think" that on Southwest the minimum seat pitch is 32". It can be a bit more on an emergency exit row.

This stolen from the Southwest website:

Model Maximum
Capacity
Southwest
Capacity
Average
Pitch
737-700 149 137 33.25
737-500 132 122 32.57
737-300 149 137 32.36
737-200 132 122 32

All I can say is DAMN! That's seat pitch that is much better than on most major airlines.

How do they compute the seat pitch for the seats facing each other?
I always feel REAL cramped on WN, but I flew on US this summer and was comforable, go figure.
Of course neither was as comfy as AA.

Try to get bulkhead on WN. They are leather seats and much better than normal ones.

Perhaps you were having to fly WN against your will, Jahckass. After all, "cattle car" implies cramped seating, so in your mind you were prepared to be cramped. You had an assigned seat on US, so your mind told you it was more comfy. Don't worry yourself about the club seats - they're being phased out. I prefered them (I'm 6'4") as they seemed to give me more legroom. Exit rows on a 700 are almost like FC pitch.

FWIW - as it has been shown, the worst pitch on WN planes is 32 - which on the 200's. Other seats are 32.5 to 33.25. US has a pitch of about 31 inches (about 32 on Airbus planes)
