Good riddance! I can't wait for the new 753s and 330s  Smile

There were four very pale NW DC-10's sitting at their MSP hangar ramp a couple days ago, so I was wondering if some more were going.

One thing I must say about the P&W JT9D powered DC-10 series 40 is that just because only two airlines (JAL & NW) purchased it, to this day it is accident free out of the other three (10, 15, & 30) GE CF6 powered models.

I myself will be sad to see them go. I dread the day NW starts rolling 753's and A330's down the runways of MSP. The 10's remind me of 70's muscle cars for some reason, like they were built in Detroit for power!

Truly a shame to see the DC-10s go  Crying. How many are left?? And Wasn't the A330 delivery for NW delayed a bit??

I didnt know they were getting 753s, you learn something every day! Is anybody other than ATA and NW getting the 753 in the US??

Yeah like 10 years. NW was orriginally supposed to take A330s and A340s back in the early 90s, but kept putting off the order until finally officially ordering the A330 for 2003.

Continental ordered 10 or so also.
