RJs At DFW (AMR And DAL)

Sat Sep 08, 2001 10:23 am

Does anyone know when ASA will be all jet on the DFW- IAH & DFW-HOU routes?

Does anyone know when American Eagle will be all jet on the DFW-HOU or DFW-CRP routes?

I am very curious about ASA and Eagle operations at DFW and their change over to mostly jet fleets. I understand that these fleets may not go all jet now . Any info would be welcome.

Do you get AIN? American Eagle's COO was interviewed and he made reference to the subject you brought up in your post. Sounds like Eagle wants to consolidate the aircraft types by Hub if at all possible. He said that the ATR's will be around a while as their cargo hauling capabilities are needed out of MIA and San Juan. The jets will continue to increase at DFW adn the new 70 seat Canadairs will be flown out of DFW to begin with.
Actually flown: EMB-120 EMB-145 B717 B737 B757 B767

However, I remember reading somewhere where it said that Eagle would still keep a fleet of Saab 340's for use at LAX and DFW, and a fleet of ATR's for SJU and MIA.
