Can You Find A 777

Mon Jun 28, 1999 11:37 am

Many of you on this site are amazing with your knowledge of airlines and schedules.

I would like to try a 777

I am going to Seattle in September (from Boston or Providence) and I would like a flight to have one of them.

If any of you know the schedules that would include one I would appreciate the info.

I am very flexible on the the day and the flight time.

If you absolutely wanna fly on a 777, your best bet would be to fly UA from BOS to IAD, then catch the 777 to either DEN or ORD, then connect in either DEN or ORD to SEA. Check the UA web site for skeds, etc. to make sure that there are flights available with connections through IAD and DEN/ORD to SEA. Hope this helps and enjoy your trip!

Well, sad to say, but I have checked the following airlines...

American Airlines
Continental Airlines
Delta Airlines
NorthWEST Airlines
TWAirlines
USAirways

and many international airline, no luck. JFK and EWR will get you one easily on UAL!

If you only want to make one stop, you will have to fly on United from Boston to Washington, Chicago, or Denver, then continue from there to Seattle. If you work your schedule right, you should be able to get a 777 on the IAD-SEA, ORD-SEA, or DEN-SEA route.

I just checked some scheds and there is not a 777 on the ORD-SEA route. So you will have to fly: BOS-IAD-SEA or BOS-DEN-SEA or the reverse of one of those.

If you want to fly on an American 777, there is currently only one domestic round trip/day. It operates between ORD-DFW. You could fly a brand new 737-800 BOS-ORD, connect to DFW on a 777, and then continue to Seattle on a 757 or MD-80. That would be a great day.

or....if you have a hankering for a cheap Business Class ticket aboard UA's 747-400's with new seats, and PTV's, go BOS-IAD-DEN-SEA, but make sure you get on the 8:00 pm (or so) DEN-SEA flight.

AA is starting nonstop BOS-SEA service I believe on Jul 1st. For quick connections, and a more direct routing, you can fly AA F-100 Bos-ORD, AA 777 ORD-DFW, AA M80 DFW-SEA, and return nonstop courtesy of a new 738. I checked the schedules, and the flights connect perfeclty on the outbound trip.

To Sea

The only plan I found was on UAL. but you would only fly the 777 once in four flights. Here is what I found:

BOS-ORD : 757-200
ORD-SEA: 757-200

SEA-DEN: 777
DEN-BOS: 757-200

OR
BOS-IAD: United Express.....J41?
IAD-SEA: 777

SEA-IAD:777
IAD-BOS: UA Express...

Hi! This New Year, I will be flying to LHR on AA's new 777 via dfw and ord. I was wondereing if anyone could tell me about the service and/or comfort in coach and business class. I will be flying in coach, but there is a possibility that I will be in business class. I flew to LHR this past march on UAL in business class (because my freind booked the trip). Also, why doesn't AA fly more wide bodies or 737s throughout the US, like UAL? Thanks!
