Ah but those 757s are mighty powerful craft though
(just like the 727s they sorta were designed to replace)
But yes 6000 is pretty compact, even for those.
I don't know what the heck it's like being around smaller 'n quieter airports a lot (apart from just smaller and quieter, of course). YUL's had runways to handle the biggest craft around, basically since it's been around (I think 24R started off at around 9000' or so, and it wasn't a big deal at all, bringing it up to current 11000'. Don't even know when they did that either, I guess maybe ten or fifteen years or so now.)
