HELP: Construction Number Specialists?

Tue Sep 11, 2001 5:43 pm

I am looking for a construction number for an Il-76MD which had one of the following rego:

CCCP-76441
RA-76441
UR-76441

This aircraft started life with Aeroflot during the days of the USSR. After the break-up it took on an RA- registration. It took on the UR- registration circa 1994-1995 when it went to the Ukraine, to a company called Avilond. Avilond leased this aircraft to Romoco Cargo of South Africa. Romoco existed from 1994-1997.

I have checked the JP's from those years, and whilst the Il-76 is listed, there is no c/n.

So, your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to tell me what the construction number for UR-76441 is.

Either let me know here, or on email (scotty@netunltd.com.au) (the email in my profile is down for a week).

Cheers

Thanks anyway mate, but that isn't the aircraft construction number.....rather, it is an order number for a slide/postcard of that aircraft.

The construction number will in all probability be roughyl 9-10 (or more) numbers long.

Cheers

Scotty,

Have you tried the very interesting book on the IL-76 (seemingly written by Russian authors) that has recently been published in the UK? It seems to have a fairly comprehensive production list in it. I have it at home if you don't have access to a copy and can check to see if it reveals any answers when I get home tonight.
