American And United

Wed Sep 12, 2001 3:05 am

Although this country doesn't have one "flag" carrier like europe countries do, the names of these Airlines "stand for America"

I believe this is another "signature" of terrorists. The target was not one single building but America & the United States as a whole.

It wouldn't make as much sense to hijack a Northwest or Delta jet.

what do you think?

This has the same message as Pan Am 103: we are striking at your flagship carriers, the carriers that hold the image of the United States all around the world.

If Pan Am I was alive today, I have no doubt in my mind that it would have been A300s and A310s crashing into the World Trade Center.

I totally agree, strange how the aircraft were both American carriers (not a coincidence) and 767s, is this because the terrorists could be able to fly these aircraft?

Just like PA someone there at AA and UAL dropped the ball. I hope the ones responsible are found and executed. This should not have happened. I'm at NYC right now and there is nothing left of the WTC all has collapsed. The pilots should've crashed the planes before reahing the WTC and the Pentagon. Hey the people on the planes can't be saved but atleast the people in the Buildings definantly would've been saved. I can't believe that this is happeneing in my hometown!!! I'm having problems reaching friends and fam in the area. I pray the toll doesn't go past 1000 but that'll probably happen. This is horible. I pray Bush will bomb the bastards responsible!!!! I will fight for my counrty and kill as many of those bastards as I can!!! How dare do they put my family at risk!!!!! Loosing my loved ones on PA 103 is bad enough but this is far worse. Time to declare war!!!!!!

The Feds should also investigate AA and UAL under a microsope.

I think USAir was not chosen for a couple reasons:

1. USAir doesn't operate a lot from BOS to the west coast and they wanted a long-range flight. Does US even operate a 767 out of BOS? Probably only to CLT, right?

2. correct me if I'm wrong, but AA & UA are more well known overseas than US. And the plan was to send a message.

another one: I am going on a limb on this one, but these particular flights may have been targeted because of the light loads. This may, only may, indicate some "inside help".
