The ID Of The Planes?

Wed Sep 12, 2001 7:45 pm

Does anyone know more of the identity of the crashed American Airlines planes?
The United aircraft have been confirmed to be 767-222 N612UA (WTC) and 757-222 N591UA (PA), while there are conflicting reports on the American 767 -223 or 323 on WTC and 757-223 on the Pentagon.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

Someone yesterday posted that UA93 was N591UA and that is what Airliners.net is using at the moment. Does anybody know for certain whether it is N519UA as Just Planes says or N591UA? I realize that this isn't the most important item at the moment but we should get the details straight.

One of our fellow forum users, N747-437B, confirmed the registration as N591UA yesterday. He actually *saw* the reg of the 757-200 at EWR before it took off and subsequently crashed, and could actually have been *on* the aircraft if it wasn't for the fact that he wanted to be on Delta as scheduled.

I only hope that there were others who were as lucky as he is.
