Any 747s In ATL Right Now?

Thu Sep 13, 2001 6:29 am

Since they made everyone land at the closest airport, I was wondering up parked in Atlanta right now. Do they have any 747s or anything that we don't usually see here?

Other than SAA's 747-400, no other 747s are at ATL. As for unusual aircraft, the only one I've seen is a TWA 757, the only time we get those are for sports charters; TWA flights in ATL are operated by MD-80 family aircraft anf 717s. I don't currently work out there, but drive by the airport on my way to work, and I didn't see any other aircraft that usually don't operate here. Had the ground stop been issued a few hours later, we might have gotten international flights heading for Florida. I really wouldn't have minded seeing Virgin 747s at ATL.
