Does This Mark The End Of Spotting As We Knew It?

I am curious to know what your thoughts are. Is this the end of being able to sit on the perimeter of airports photographing aircraft? At LAX they have gone as far as not letting any non ticket holding passengers past security x ray machines once opened... Will this be permanent? I know at airports like YYZ, you already cannot go up to the gate area. I sure hope this doesnt affect the way we once knew plane watching, but, I know it may affect it.

(I am mostly refering to US airports, but, if any euro plane fans have comments, feel free)

At many airports, many spotting locations will be closed for an indefinite length of time. Some spots may be closed forever. I know after TWA 800, one of the better spotting locations at ATL was lined with no parking signs.

At Schiphol Amsterdam the (official) observation areas have been closed. I don't know about the areas around the runways though. These are on public terrain, and are therefore probably stil open. Guess the cops and rent-a-cop agencies wil be more careful though.
