Special Priority For Family Of Victims?

Sat Sep 15, 2001 2:36 am

This tragedy has effected people from all over the World. There will be thousands of funerals in the coming week. Have airlines said how they are going to handle family members that need to travel around the country or around the world? I would imagine with the limited service offered and the ammount of airports still closed this is going to be a difficult process. Is there any word on how they are going to handle these passengers? These people should be top priority don't you think?

I'm sure they'll get priority, but there's nowhere for them to go yet. Most most of the victims haven't been removed from the wreckage and probably won't be for some time to come. By the time the bodies are ready for burial the air system should be back up and family members should be able to travel by air.

JetBlue is offering discounted airfare for families, I also heard that their employees went to the AA and UA terminals and offered their support and service if they needed it.
