I guess with everything going on, I have not noticed that the 717 has earned another customer, which goes by the name VuelaMex. Can anyone give me a little info on this carrier? And how many 717's they will be receiving? I also notice that these were purchased by a leasing company, any leads there?

Heres the bit from a newspage:

"VuelaMex's (Mexico City) (follow-up) first new Boeing 717-200 (EI-CWK, line number 5085) has been rolled out of the paint shop at Boeing (Long Beach). The livery consists of billboard titles and multicolor tail art"

The only thing I know is that VuelaMex is a startup airline wich will shortly operate 15 destinations here in México in the begining with leased 717´s. This is oficial since they already announced this, they are also promoting the new airline in the Mexican yellow pages book.
I´m sorry but that´s all I know at this time.
