Are Shavers Banned From Amenity Kits?

Are shavers banned from amenity kits?
I saw a men take out his shavers and
throwing them into trash at security
check points.(I think it was CNN) I have
not flown on overseas flights yet since WTC. Those disposable shavers are in
almost all the F/C-class amenity kits I've
gotten in the past... Are the airlines
taking them out? Does anyone know if
electric shavers are allowed or not?

Thanks!

The ones with removeable complete razor-blades, at LHR's Terminal 2 I noticed that these have been removed from the shelves of a chemists.
All this really means is that certain sharp objects have to go in your luggage in the hold, rather than carry-on hand baggage.

If that's the case then no glass bottles (available from airline drink trolleys, Duty Free shops, etc.) or anything along those lines should be allowed on board. A broken bottle can do as much harm as a knife or razor blade.
