VS 747 Just Leaving Labrador?

CTV Newsnet has a thing on their ticker saying that a Virgin 747 was jsut permitted to leave the east coast.... Can anyone confirm this? Why were they there for so long? Was there some other reason for it?

There was a bomb threat onboard that was later determined to be a hoax. CF-18 fighter jets were scrambled and escorted the airliner just in case...and I'm glad they did.
