Two daily 747-400s. Between last mid-May and late-October, however, it has been 747-200s as the 744s are convereted to BA's 4-Class service. The conversion is complete 29 October. BA ended the Miami-Gatwick route last April in favour of double-daily Miami-Heathrow (Virgin still serves Miami-Gatwick, though), because Heathrow was the favoured airport for business travelers, Heathrow would become thier main 747 base, and they consolidated cities into one airport (in other words, all flights to LHR or LGW, except JFK). When the Gatwick route was flown, however, it used a 747-200 for most of the time, than a 777-200 for a very short time, and finally a 747-400 before being coverted to Heathrow.
