Swissair's New Fleet

Wed Oct 03, 2001 1:41 am

Has anyone confirmed information on SR's "new" fleet right now ?
I assume the A 340-600 orders have been cancelled, right ?
We've also heard that the A319 and A 321 will be phased out.
So what else ? Any information on this ?

I don't think they'll be doing a lot if all of their fleet are grounded, and are £7 billion in debt

I suspect Airbus is phoning other airlines right now, trying to get someone else to buy those A340-600's.

I don't see them in Swissair colors anytime soon, and I doubt Swissair will ever be the international giant it was - thus no need for those planes.
