-Initial Service to BOS, LGA, ATL, ORD, DFW, MSP, EWR and adding 10 more cities in 3 weeks
-Two security checkpoints: Terminal and at the Gate
-"One-plus" carry-on rule
-Photo ID at gate
-Only designated flight crews can fly to DCA & manditory preflight screening
-Only can use selected gates at hub airports flying into DCA
-"Straight In approach, Straight out takeoff" on north side
-Flights 7am-10pm only
-No more than 156 pax (no more 757's)
Whats your take on these new measures. Two of them are definete B.S. The 156 pax rule makes no sense. 757's carry generally 172-192 pax, but how does that affect security and prevent hijackers? Is it because they don't want to see 757's because that was the type that hit the Pentagon. Also, why is the airport limited to 7am-10pm? Time of the day does little to dictate security matters.
Plus, wouldn't a secure cockpit door and skymarshals eliminate 99.99% of the 0.000000001% chance of hijackings?
Opinions on the security? Anyone?
