AirBerlin Might Take Over LTU.

Thu Oct 04, 2001 1:08 am

The General Manager of AirBerlin, Joachim Hunold, has told in an interview that he might be interrested in taking over the Sair Group share of LTU.
Hunold has been already in the LTU management when he left about ten years ago and founded the german branc of AirBerlin.

That would be interresting for him to run an all Boeing plus an all Airbus Airline.

Unlikely IMO. Air Berlin has a different philosophy, has never operated wide-body equipment and is in a totally different market.
