Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this very similar to what one could obtain prior to 9/11? With very few exceptions, I saw fares after 9/11 shoot upward, and are just now starting to come down to what they were before, and in VERY few cases, lower than before. Are the airlines not intent on bringing people back to the skies??? Doesn't their very survival depend on doing so, even if it means lowering fares below the "break even" point initially? any airline marketing execs out there care to comment?
