Will USA3000 Airlines Make It Now?

Thu Oct 04, 2001 7:38 am

This new little airline hasn't been discussed much, but will the new branch of Canada3000, USA3000, make it now with the economy? They are taking delievery of their first A320 this month and will be flying from PHL, and EWR to warm destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico. Not a bad idea for an airline, but could they survive now? Seems like bad timing for a new start-up.

They certainly talk the talk, but i still think they're a VA. Even if they're not, i think they're doomed with the current situation. Ah well. No loss.

First time I heard of a VA who will operate with a real aircraft  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Good luck to them, given the current situation they will need it.

Took the pic from here...

Uh, they aren't a branch of Canada 3000, are they? I understod they were set up by Apple Vacations Ltd (who at some stage in the past had something to do with Canada 3000). Anyone with more info care to clarify?

On a related note, my travel agent just booked me on a flight to Kabul on some airline called Afghanistan3000. Has anyone heard of this airline? I wonder if they're any good.

Apple Vacations takes care of filling the seats and getting tours etc. But I THINK they are part of the group. It seems like a good idea, with winter coming up and all, but I wonder how many people will be taking vactations??

There is no association betw Canada 3000 & USA 3000.

C3 may have operated a charter series for Apple two winters ago.....ORD/CVG-CUN if memory serves. But that's it.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.
