Checking In At EWR

Thu Oct 04, 2001 9:10 pm

How much time should I leave these days? I have a 5:40 a.m. flight on CO to IAH in a couple of weeks, on a Saturday. I would assume not much of a line for security reasons, but I defer to some EWR experts...

Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, in JFK it took about 30 min. We arrived 2 hours before, and there was plenty of time. So I think, it's the same for EWR. And there was not so much security, as I have expected.

I did a 6am EWR-ORD on UA earlier this week. Traffic at the airport was almost nonexistant. Only problem was the UA agents don't go on duty until 5am. I was there at 4:30, but just waited in line until 5am. I then had to wait another 10 mins at the security check point for another UA person to arrive for boarding pass/ID checks.

I would suggest you call CO to find out when the check-in desk opens and use that for planning purposes.
