Air France Will Operate The 777 To SFO In March!

Mon Oct 08, 2001 12:53 am

AF is going to operate for the month of March 2002 a daily 777 service from CDG instead of the usual "winter" A340. We will se the 747-400 come back on April 1st.

Cool!

Too bad SFO security is probably going to crack down spotters. Also, they've most definitely stopped admitting unticketed passengers to the IT.

Further proof that SFO is a high-yield market...perhaps these are high-fare Skyteam pax who will use the extra Biz capacity of the 777 now that Alitalia's route has been axed?

Air France had already put the 777 in the schedules to fly the 777 to SFO in Mar 2002 before the attacks on 11 Sep caused AZ to cancel their flights. I guess you are right though that the SKyteam allicance have yielded more traffic so that AF needs more capacity to the Bay area. AF will have five or so more 777s by that time. The777Man

Have Fun!
We get them at LAX, it's always weird to think that those two engines will carry it all the way to/from Paris!
