I`ve flown AF 744...

CDG / EWR
CDG / LAX
CDG / NRT

I know they use them on a quite a few other North American & Far Eastern routes as well - nice `planes but no PTV`s in Tempo (coach/economy) - much prefer the B777`s.... now THERE`S an aircraft !  Smile

Hello,

The current Air France 747-400 routes are (all from CDG): JFK, EWR, SFO, LAX, PPT, NRT, YUL and MIA.

Air France never operated the 744 to IAD on a scheduled basis.

A Few Corrections

Mon Oct 08, 2001 4:04 am

Hello Jim,

A few corrections:

CAI was a 747-200 at the beginning of the summer, and then switched to a wet-leased DC-10 from AOM (now Air Lib). Since Air France operates with an A340-300.

CVG was a 747-200 until 22 July, when the flight was discontinued.

BEY was A310s and 777s this summer.

Air France has never operated 747-400s to the three above mentioned destination on a scheduled basis.

Et L'Asie, Alain?!?

Mon Oct 08, 2001 6:59 pm

AF also operates 744's to BKK, BJS,HKG, SIN, NRT. 744's may be flown to other routes in Asia as loads dictate - I once flew F-GITF from DEL to CDG instead of the usual 74M  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

For the winter, I think only LAX and MIA will get 744s in the US.

AF744's have PTV's in First Class (Espace Premiere/Espace 180) and Business class (Espace Affaires/Espace 127).

There were plans to introduce them in Economy class (Tempo) but this has yet to be carried out  Sad and I doubt it will.

Actually, do you guys think AF will order the B 747-400ER (Combi)? Or full Pax version?
