Comair To Atlanta!

Mon Oct 08, 2001 12:24 pm

Delta Connection is restructuring to put Atlantic Coast Airlines into CVG (It has been around for a while with BTV service) and Comair into Attanta (notably taking over ATLABE service)
here is the link

Do you guys think this is setting up precedent after the Comair strike to have every hub serviced by more than one connection carrier. Do you think we would see markets other than BOSNYC serviced by multiple connection carriers? That way if one little goes on strike the system would have another to help out.
I find this very interesting.

It's already happening on other routes too. Effective Dec. 1, SkyWest begins 3 daily flights between DFW and PNS. That's right....SkyWest will now serve Florida!!!. The Skywest service replace two mainline flights (MD88/90) that would 1-stop via MSY or JAN.
