Animation Of SAS Crash

Mon Oct 08, 2001 10:57 pm

Italian TV has released an animation of the crash. The link is to Danish TV but the text does not add new information. Just scroll down a bit and you´ll find the animation.

Looks pretty stupid and simple to me. No way the Cessna was travelling at the same speed as the Md80 if the jet was on its takeoff roll. No way the impact of the little plane pushed the jet off the runway. The original story still sounds most realistic: a controlled swerve to avoid the Cessna, which ended in the building that had been invisible in the fog.

Typical media simplified BS, that animation

I agree with Ikaraus. The little Cessna could never cause the SAS a/c to flip of the runway like that. Seems more like the crew tried to avoid the Cessna.

Just like birdwatching - without having to be so damned quiet!
