"The Cargo ones are quite old news...i've got the news nearly a week ago.
However, thanx for the Silkair information, seems like Silkair is still on its track, not being effected too much by 911, flying as a very-obviously regional airline.I really wonder why SIA doesn't cut the Kuala Lumpur route or some other Asian based routes to Silkair, since MI flew to Jarkata before with SQ, but was out because of the crash.SIA should try to move some routes to MI, and make SQ as a very obviously international acrrier (Though it is now), while Silkair could build a regional image in South-East Asia, and not just to act as an airline that only flies to exotic places in Asia, but would act as leader in regional subs in Asia.
Now tell me, which line tells you that I'm anti-Malay or Anti-Kul or anti whatever.I can't even find a WORD that's putting negative response to both Malaysia or KUL.
You should have read my DETAILS and EVERY SINGLE WORD on my article, not just because of a single WORD.I was thinking why not SILKAIR take over the Kuala Lumpur route, NOT CUTTING or SUSPENDING the route.Gosh i don't even know why you can make such a mistake.
Of course I know SIN-KUL is one of the busiest route.I travelled to Kuala Lumour 2 years ago, and the flight was around 80% full.Even it's one of the busiest, it's not really a profit-making route, due to competing with MH, they have around 0 flights per day.Just like HKG-TPE, tickets are also cheap, but i've never heard of anybody saying that HKG-TPE is a golden route when SIN-KUL is another golden route too.
MH usually operates B734 on this route, sometimes A330, while SQ operates A310 and B772, and a B744 on one single flight if i remember correctly. But MH has more flights a day, and if have to compete with MH, SQ should operate the same number of flights to give customers a wider choice.THAT'S WHY i was suggesting MI to take over this route, because it's very short, only around 45-55 mins, and also, Kuala Lumpur is an international city that lots of tourists would like to pick it as a vacation spot.Of course, it was only my suggestion. All i said was suggesting SQ to move some routes to MI.
Please read carefully and ask if you've got any problems about the article and every word if you aren't sure. This is A.net, and i'd never want to see another "JOKE" like this, cutting SIN-KUL.Also tell you what, OdiE, it's not just an international route for SIN-KUL, it's also a shuttle route.Keep that in mind.
