What Routes Will JetBlue Add?

Wed Oct 10, 2001 3:38 pm

I have heard rumors about GRR or FNT, (Personally, I want to see them at FNT) but I was wondering, A. are those more than just rumors, and B. what ARE they planning, if anything?

Those seem to be just rumors at this point. I doubt that anything is going to be added any more this year.

LGB to DIA (Dullas) has been postponed until late spring of 2002.

Also, I've been hearing things about flying to San Juan, PR. I think that's pretty high on the B6 wish list.

IMHO, I think that they're going to trend away from the JFK hub and expand the LGB hub next year. They seem pretty consistant in where they expand (year one was along New York/New England & FL, year two was out west).

I think SJU would be a very good idea. The JFK-SJU route is huge and right now only AA flies that route. Its a route that JetBlue would anyway make money.

Our good friend N509JB says these routes aren't happening

They are focusing on the west coast build up at Long Beach, however they are expanding there gates from 6 to 10 at terminal 6, meaning they will have almost the entire terminal, so they can almost double their operations there.
