Why No JetBlue FF Program Yet

Sat Oct 13, 2001 8:53 am

I fly jetBlue often. Why don't they have any type of a frequent flyer program yet?

A FF program and a codeshare/alliance with major international carrier is all that's missing to catapult B6 straight to #1.

Looking at the all the int'l flights arriving at JFK, there is great potential to link up with someone like Virgin Atlantic for example, even though the JFK scene is pretty heavily O&D rather than transfer pax.

I just wish B6 would start flying into MCI.

JetBlue has had an FF program in the works since last year, I'm not sure why it isn't up and running yet. We need to hear from our employee friend N509JB, he'd have the latest.

jetBlue is working on getting a frequent flyer program ready. Remember, one of the things that makes low-fare airlines low-fare is keeping costs down (duh; though jetBlue still manages to equip thier planes "fully loaded"; including rafts and over-water beacons that allow FLL-JFK to be flown in 2.05h instead of the 2.50h it takes a DL 737 without rafts and over-water beacons; though in the end, that simple investments makes everything more efficient; okay back to the subject). A FF flyer program does not do this, so expect a fairly simple program.
