The A330-200 is my favouite as well, mostly due to its high-tech feel. When you stand in the cockpit its almost like something out of a sci-fi movie.

I love the A330. I have no idea why but it just seems like the best plane i've been on. Twice from DXB to NCE and back from CDG to DXB with the A330 with Emirates.

I like the long range FBW A330-200 with either P&W 4168s or RR Trent 772s over the poor selling 767-400!

Aussie_ , I agree, I like the A340 better, especially the A340-600, but the A330 isn't far behind...They are both so graceful and sleek, much better than the Boring counterparts

I am a crazy fan of the A-330.

I have had the priviledge of visiting the Air Canada A-330 when it was first delivered over a yeara ago. A friend of mine works at the AC hangar in YUL.

I have also flown the A-330 twice between YUL-CDG AC flight 870-871

It is a great aircraft. If you ever fly on AC try seat 12 in economy. Next to executive first. Lots of space in front of you.

Hell yeah,

The A330 is my favourite aircraft. I dont know, but ever since I flown on it back in 99 its my favourite. And Im going back on it in two two weeks to Port Of Spain Trinidad. Its the best to sit by the wings and see it flex on takeoff, in the air and landing. Its such a graceful aircraft.

The A330 is an absolute beauty...
(especially the A330-200)
BTW, don't you think all Airbus products have just a bit more elegance then their American rivals?

I like the A340 more, than the A330. Those four engines look awesome.

But there is one thing in common for both: The most elegant wings ever seen on an aircraft

Yes i'm another one!

You know, I can still remember that evening, in 1994 (although not the date!), when I went out to the end of 16 at Dublin Airport, to see the arrival of the airline's first A330. Loved the airplane then and love it now. Since then, I've flown the type with Aer Lingus (of course), Korean Air, Cathay and Swissair.

Difficult to pick a favourite, but I'd have to say BMI at the moment. Here's a few nice ones . . .

(Haven't done this in a while; hope it works. Prepare for my Homer impression if it doesn't!)

I love this plane as well. Flew Premiair from MIA-ARN in summer 2000. First A330-200 to be fitted with the toilets below deck. It frees more room for seats. Makes good sense to me and also who wants to be sitting next to the toilet and having peoples rear-ends in your face while waiting for the toilets. Not me.....thank-you

Why do I like the A330??
1-It is very graceful looking
2-It is intimidating at the same time
3-It is Airbus
4-It is Airbus
Need I say more??????

The A321 is my favorite aircraft, but the A330 is second. It looks great in ANY livery, but US Airways and Canada 3000 make it look the best in my opinion.

I like the A330 because it just looks so clean. The wings are undescribable. They're so perfect looking and with those winglets just makes them into my desert. Its just the most beautiful aircraft ever together with the A340.

I agree with most of what you say, people...

It has some great looking wings and it is such a graceful aircraft overall.

Well-Done to Airbus... (for the rest of their
their A-planes too).

I think the A330-200 is a superb aircraft. EK fly them daily into BHX from DXB and they look fantastic. I think the wing is a perfect design and I love those big winglets they have. Even the landing gear looks good!

I like all airliners, but the A330 is sooooooo much better looking than the early Airbus widebodies such as the A300 and A310. Airbus seem to design and construct very 'clean' looking airliners. The A320 is another good looker, although in a sensible and conventional sort of way.

The Boeing 777 (as nice as it is) really just looks like a bigger, fatter 767.

Of course, no other airliner can compete with the 757-200 and VC-10 in terms of looks.

I think all Boeing and Airbus are have their own good and bad points . Airbus330 is my favourite aircraft doesnt mean i dont like Boeing 767 or 777 . I think they are great planes , they have been serving major airlines like ANA , JAL , AA, UA well .
What makes me loves A330s is the design of the plane , the elegant of the wings which makes the planes looks so beautiful and elegant .
Performance is very impressed too . Even through A330 is not as high tech as Boeing 777 , shes still a really a good plane to fly on

A340-200/300 are average but if u ask me i prefer to fly on Boeing 777.

Cheers

The A330 is a very elegant looking plane in my thoughts. I agree Boeing and AIrbus both produces excellent planes but I guess some of us have a preference to either Boeing or Airbus or to any aircraft. Like Victor Alpha... he is crazy about the B777s  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Anyway I like the A330 for it's wings and it's looks. But I somehow the A340 appeals more to me. But nevertheless, both are great aircraft.

My fav aircraft is still the mother jumbo Smile  Big thumbs up

Hi there,

A small remark to those Boeing fans trying to spoil our lyrical discussion here on the A330 with stupid references to those flying bricks from Seattle.... (yep, that's for you 747Man)

This is a discussion for A330 lovers you know...
Until you came by no A. vs B. discussion was going on.
All you could find here were positive replies from guys telling us why they feel the A330 is so much more beautiful then any other plane.
If you don't like the A330, then why join in the first place? Irritated by the high number of replies maybe?

I.S.O. spoiling our discussion, why don't you start your own under the title: 'who thinks the B777 is an elegant plane?'

Sabenapilot, I almost forgot the A345/A346 wing. What an AMAZING pic. If I'm not mistaken, the pics you posted were taken at Le Bourget this year, right?

Imagine a A330 with the A346-wing!!! OK, this aircraft would only be good for A330-fans  Smile/happy/getting dizzy.

Sabena (FS) Pilot,

A small remark to those Boeing fans trying to spoil our lyrical discussion here on the A330 with stupid references to those flying bricks from Seattle.... (yep, that's for you 747Man)

Call me a Boeing fan or whatever, I'm really a Boeing and Airbus fan. Flying bricks from Seattle? There you go again with your stupid nonsense posts about Boeing. I've never seen an "airline pilot" like you ever be so attached to either Airbus and Boeing, nor hate one so much. Trying to spoil your little Airbus party, huh? Well, no. I'll I said was for you to keep your stupid anti-Boeing comments to yourself so we don't have to hear it.

This is a discussion for A330 lovers you know...

Exactly, so why are you mentioning your Boeing thoughts in here?

Until you came by no A. vs B. discussion was going on.

There is none going on. But there probably will be if you keep making those idiotic comments over Boeing.

All you could find here were positive replies from guys telling us why they feel the A330 is so much more beautiful then any other plane.

Uhhh, no. What I could find here was some posts that had to mention how more elegant, etc. Airbus is than Boeing. And I'll I was asking was to keep it an A330 loving discussion.

If you don't like the A330, then why join in the first place? Irritated by the high number of replies maybe?

I do like the A330. The high number of replies? LOL First of all, this is an internet forum Sabena"pilot". I figured a lot of people from here would like the A330. I'm sure the replies to a post about the 777 would be the same or higher.  Big thumbs up

I.S.O. spoiling our discussion, why don't you start your own under the title: 'who thinks the B777 is an elegant plane?

Hey, if you consider this spoiling your "discussion", then you have some serious issues. I'll I'm asking of some of you are to keep your little thoughts of Boeing to yourself so the rest of us don't have to hear it.

The747Man,

Is it just me or are you offended quite easily? Frankly, I don't see why you reacted to this topic in the first place. There was no anti-Boeing crap in this thread at all. Unless you feel offended by those quotes you reacted to, in which case you have, to say it in your words 'some serious issues'. Let me explain:

TEDSKI wrote,

God TEDSKI, did you really have to post that? The 764 is a slow seller, I'll admit, but that doesn't mean it's a bad aircraft, it is likely to be ordered by AA and UA sometime in th future, give it time!

What exactly is it that's so wrong with saying that you like one product over the other? In my opinion, NOTHING. So why the reaction? Because he said it's a slow seller? Well it IS, isn't it?

Sabenapilot wrote,

Uhhh, no. That's your opinion and to tell you the truth, most people on here probably couldn't give a damn. Keep your anti-Boeing comments to yourself please so this won't turn into an A vs. B war

Again, same thing: Isn't Sabenapilot entitled to think one manufacturer produces more elegant planes than the other? He did not state this as a fact, only as an opinion. Now if you see that as anti-Boeing comments, again, you have some serious issues.

CXA330-342 wrote,

Everybody is entitled to his/her opinion. EVEN when some others (YOU) don't like that opinion or don't agree with it. If he thinks the 767 is ugly then he can damn well say so. This is a discussion on aircraft looks, remember! So these comments are bound to come along.

Oh, and calling people morons isn't exactly the best way to end a war. And there was nothing even close to a war until your first reply.

One more thing: it's 'all', not 'I'll'.

See ya!

No I'm not offended easily. There was some anti-Boeing crap in this post, and I don't personally get offended by the posts I reasponded to. All I did was ask some to not post what they fill about Airbus aircraft towards Boeing in this topic, plain and simple.

What exactly is it that's so wrong with saying that you like one product over the other? In my opinion, NOTHING. So why the reaction? Because he said it's a slow seller? Well it IS, isn't it?

I don't care if TEDSKI likes the A330 over the 764, but him calling it a poor seller is not right. It is a slow seller, but that doesn't mean it's a poor seller. A poor seller is one in which the company doesn't get profit out of the project. There's a difference.

Again, same thing: Isn't Sabenapilot entitled to think one manufacturer produces more elegant planes than the other? He did not state this as a fact, only as an opinion. Now if you see that as anti-Boeing comments, again, you have some serious issues.

Yes, he's entitled to think that, and all I asked him was to not post things like that because it can be started into a A vs. B war. BTW, I've never seen an "airline pilot" like him be such a fan one of company and hate the other....

I never said people couldn't have their opinions you moron! The whole point of my post was to ask them not to post crap like that. This is a discussion about the A330, not the 767, and not how Airbus planes compare to Boeing.

Oh, and calling people morons isn't exactly the best way to end a war. And there was nothing even close to a war until your first reply.

My first reply never started a war, a war is when there are 100 people fighting over god knows what in the forums. I didn't call any one a moron, now did I? I said that some did post some moronic comments that don't belong in this discussion though.

One more thing: it's 'all', not 'I'll'.

It depends smart ass.

You say all if you are referring to something.

example: I like all of those people.

You say I'll as in "I will".

example: I'll go to the mall today.

I know I made a few typos in my post above but big deal! It doesn't mean I don't know the language.

Agreed, so let's look at your own posts in this thread:

I'll I'm asking of some of you are to keep your little thoughts
And I'll I was asking was to keep it an A330 loving discussion.
I'll I said was for you to keep your stupid anti-Boeing comments to yourself so we don't have to hear it.

Get it, 'smart ass'? That's what I meant.

But that's not the discussion. BTW, you did call me a moron in your last reply, and I quite frankly feel offended by that comment, especially knowing I never resorted to any form of name-calling on my part. All I did was try to point out why your reply to this topic, and to some others, is quite aggressive and easily allows for threads to get out of hand.

As for the actual discussion (and please let's get back to that): The A330 (together with the A340) has got to be one of the most elegant and beautiful planes ever built! Watching them land with that huge sleek wing and those dangling bogies makes it look almost as an eagle closing in on its prey!

As you can tell by my username, I'm another A330 fan. It has to be the best looking aircraft ever!

I saw my first A330 close up at Lanzarote (LTU -300) and ever since have just loved the aircraft. I cannot describe what it is about it, but it just looks fantastic!

I'd also have to agree that it looks clean, the bmi one that taxied past a Manchester looked superb, especially the wings. The cockpit also looks brilliant (as with all other modern Airbuses).

I haven't actually flown on it yet  Sad but I really, really want to give it ago. A lot of people have said it is like the A340, the A340 is the best aircraft I've flown on, I would have flown on it more if Virgin had of kept it on the MAN-MCO route, instead of the old 747 classics!

I already explained that.

These big buses are beautiful and elegant.

I've flown on both the A330 and A340 on numerous occasions and they were my best flights ever, by far.

How's that?

What do you mean? Have I not explained that the whole point of my post of to ask the others to keep their thoughts about Boeing to themselves? Of course, they can have all the thoughts they want, but posting some like theirs towards Boeing on these forums can/will offend someone, thus ending up in a war.

The747Man,

check your keyboard please, apart from your typos it keeps on putting quotes around the second part of my login name for one reason or the other .
If you have your doubts about my professional activities, you might consider asking some other members or using the search engine in the technical forum....
Unlike in the United States pilot in Europe do have the opportunity to fly for major companies before they have grandchildren thanks to ab-initio training programs.

its all in the details.

A plane is like a woman to me.
I don't care if she is strong and powerful, I just want her to be sexy and elegant.

The A340-600 is definitely the most beautiful Airbus on production! I saw it passing after a test flight 10 meters past me (behind the fence taxiing back to the airbus facilities in Blagnac (F) ) and its wings, its lenght, its huge engines...PERFECT!

Even if the most beautiful plane for me is the MD-11, I think some readers shouldn't take this forum to put some personal chats between two and 3 persons querelling!!!

American planes are the masters of the past, and Airbusses the masters of tomorrow...
That's all!!!!

-No, just kidding! Of course the US manufacturers have a great background and Airbus was born on a rather political idea, gathering several european countries, but still becoming a very innovative and efficient product after some very hard years (the 70's)! And that the American love Airbus has nothing to do with anti-patriotism or treason, but it's the same as all the Boeing-fans of Europe!
