"World Air Routes" Videos

Sun Oct 14, 2001 9:55 am

I am thinking about getting a "World Air Routes" Video from . I don't have any yet.
I would like to know if anyone here has one? Which is your favorite, which do you recommend?

Hi Ren,

Try this link

http://www.justplanes.com

As for the quality of these videos, well I like them. I have the Varig MD11 flight from GRU/CPH via LHR and back to GIG, this also comes with a stunning Gemini Jets Varig MD11 1/400 scale diecast model. I also have the Air Georgia TU-154 from TBS/FRA and back. Both are interesting videos especially for the non-pilots out there like myself as they do not get too technical. I also have an older 'Flight from the cockpit #11' Sabena A310 from BRU to LOS(Lagos) and YAO(Yaounde), I believe that the 'Flight from the Cockpit' series were replaced by the 'World Air Routes'

Give them a try!

I would suggest getting videos with British speakers or some other good English speakers. Sometimes it's very hard to hear what they're saying. The videos are great though. I think they need to make a video that shows the flight from start to finish.

Hey, Skihigh2002......

Do you have this very comprehensive video on BA's Concorde? You say you wished there was a video that shows a "flight from start to finish". This might be the one for you. It's 5 hours, and shot pretty close to "real time" on a trip from LHR to JFK (and back). ..........

Yes, but what I'm talking about is the camera just stuck behind them and they do their jobs. It be interesting if not boring lol.

Donder10..........

Yes indeed......You can get the videos in PAL format for the VHS tapes. If you choose a DVD, they are formatted for ALL regions of the world (according to the Just Planes site).

Secondly....Yes, some of JP's WAR programs show many many aircraft flying by at altitude.
Check out the photos for this DVD if you love "high-altitude fly-bys"..........

Hi NW-ELITE..........

Yeah....I just recently ordered that CO Exp. DVD. That should be a dandy, with every flight featured either originating from, or flying into, EWR (8 flights)!

I'm sure there are lots of aerial shots of the Manhattan skyline (pre-September 11).

However, for clarification, that DVD doesn't feature an ATR 72. It has the ATR 42 of Continental Express.......
