Yeah, a few times. My guess would be about 1 in 6 of my flights have a female in the cockpit, so it isn't unusual. I remember one of them on a DL flight from CVG to ATL was really hot! I talked to her before the flight for like 15 minutes, she was very flirty. Love

Yep, UAL 777 from CDG-ORD. It was actually the same lady who was on Harry's Cockpit Video for 777 from FRA-ORD. Small world.  Smile

American Airlines flight from ORD to LAS. She was a 17 year captain and was nice enought to take a picture of me and the FO in the MD-80 cockpit after we landed in LAS. After that we talked a while about the flight and especially the landing on an 8 knot crosswind. She was really cool!

I've had female captains on VS 747 JFK-LHR, AA 767 EWR-SFO, DL 767-300 JFK-FRA, AI 747-400 LHR-DEL, IA DEL-BOM A300. Many many airlines have female pilots except for Saudia and maybe Kuwait. Saudia doesn't know what it's missing. I guess you can say like the Taliban they're behind the times.

I flew with my first woman captain about a month ago, with Cityflyer from Gatwick to Jersey - a BA franchisee using RJ100s.

Before then, I've flown with a Qantas 747-400 S/O (and just a note re the above; S/O is a second officer and as young as that CX S/O looked, I doubt if she was 19!) and an F/O with Aer Lingus on the A321.

For information, Aer Lingus's first woman pilot, Grainne Cronin, moved into the left seat of the A330 this Summer.

Yes on a British Airways flight from London to Paris about 10 years ago, which was the most memorable.

Her landing was the smoothest and softest I have ever encountered in my life. I didn't even feel the wheels touch the strip.

A woman's touch?

I never had a female pilot on one of my flights. But I remember, when I was a ramp agent: After a nightstop, I started preparing everything for the first flight STR-BRU of a SN AR8. I brought Notam, Meteo etc into the cockpit, and I wondered why there were several pillows on the captain's seat. Later, when the crew arrived, I knew the answer: The captain of that flights was a young woman, and she was not really very tall - she needed those pillows to be able to look over the instrument panel out of the cockpit window... cute!

I was flown from LAX to Paris CDG in a United 777-200 by a full woman flight crew! Very professional, and outstanding landing in Paris. I heard them all the way over on Channel 9.

This is not related to the topic, but I had to ask: After Sept. 11, does UAL still make channel 9 available on their flights? I dont know if other airlines had that feature, but for me it made UA unique. Who cares about in-flight movies when you have channel 9 and route progress moving map in you seat?

Last January with Hapag-Lloyd we had a female 1st officer, she was flying and made a hard landing, but I´m sure it was due to wind shear or something else. Nothing against her.

I had a female pilot on a DC-9-30 from Midwest Express and one on a Delta 767-300. On the 767 flight (SLC-DEN), I was beginning to wonder if she would ever get the bird on the ground. I have had female co-pilots on, if I remember correctly, TWA and Delta.

Once on a flight from BWI-LAX on United A320. The f/o was female. I've seen several young females pilot for ACA (early to mid 20s) at IAD.

A flight from BOG to EWR on Continental, we had a female captain. The flight diverted to PHL because the 757 was low on fuel and traffic was bad into EWR due to nasty weather. We got fuel at PHL and then tookoff on a short runway back to EWR on a very short flight.

Trans States flight once, back in May. I remember she was a little too energetic for 7:15 in the morning. Actually Captain and F/O were women and the FA was male. Kind of odd. Anyway, she was a bit more gutsy with the plane than I am used to on commercial airliners. Kind of threw me for a loop the first few minutes of the flight until I figured out what she was doing. Then again, what about the passengers that don't have the knowledge I do, they must have been scared to death. Oh well, sorry for getting off the subject

TWA flight, IAD to STL on Saturday, October 6. Both pilots were female. A first for me. I've had female FO's and FE's, but never a female captain, or both pilots female.

My opinion of female pilots is this: if the FAA and the airline give them the OK, that's good enough for me.

Yeah once back in '95 on a SAT-MEM NW A-320. Made the smoothest landing of my life! I wasn't sure we were down until i saw the spoilers pop up.

At work, i've seen tons of female F/Os or Capt's. There is this one particular crew who is all female, too.
