What Is This Plane?

Sun Oct 14, 2001 3:19 pm

L10-11, white and blue, with a bird on the tail. More like a shadow outline of a bird flying on the tail?

Yeah,
that is what the bird on the tail looks like. But the bird is blue, and the plane has a blue strip down the fuselage....

Not black and red.

Nah, definately not Tradewinds. The lone Tradewinds L10-11-1f is now painted in their new paint scheme that is shared with their fleet of A300s. It looks really nice.

This L10-11 is white, with a blue stripe. And with a white tail with the bird on it sorta like Kampuchea Airlines. The bird is really small and offset on the top rear of the tail. Otherwise the plane is really plain.

Nothing I've so far matches. I had to run to the office so here is what I saw:

An L10-11...
a small blue stripe that runs from the nose cone to the tail under the windows line. The strip is not very tall.

Below the strip is the silver belly of the fuselage.

Above the stripe is white.

The tail is white with the outline of the bird flying (like the bird on Kampuchea Airlines, but to exactly like that.
Also on the tail were two small blue strips that go diagonally up the tail from the middle-rear of the tail to about the middle-top of the tail. And the bird is under those stripes.

I'd take a picture, but I can't get zoomed in enough.

No... its not at Timco. it was parked at Tradewinds for a while, then over where those other old L10s were parked. It moves around quite a bit, but it has never been over there at Timco.

Is it another spare (like the old TWA L10) for Tradewinds?
