Airlines That Still Adopt Cheat Lines...

Sun Oct 14, 2001 4:56 pm

The following airlines are among the few left that still adopt cheat lines any others. Do you think cheatlines are becoming outdated, do you think there should be more liveries adopting cheatlines? Any comments???

What is a cheatline?

It seems like cheatlines were used mostly to conceal windows...as most cheatlines were/are among the window line on the airplane.

Malaysia Airlines still uses one although it had planned to remove it. MAS' plans for a new livery and a much needed upgrade of their inflight products have ALL been halted due to the company reeling from the Asian financial crisis of 1997 and now the Sept.11th tragedy.

Malaysia Airlines' cheatline is beautifully demonstrated by this 777 at Zurich which I'm sure will be sorely missed...

AirAsia also use a bright green cheatline to offset their otherwise dark Royal Malaysian blue fuselage.

AirIndia has a cheat line....it tried to remove it but then reverted back to the old cheat line livery...the cheat line is quite intricate with every window getting a border more like that of an Indian palace...i think it looks cool, though it is time they change the tail colours!

Look at this classic green cheatline on Cathay. I starts to love their old livery.
