Virgin Atlantic To Defer A340-600?

Thu Oct 18, 2001 4:42 am

I was wondering what Virgin Atlantic was going to do with their upcoming A340-600 order? With the current state of the global economy and especially the U.S.A.'s, will they defer delivery of widebodies that they don't need now that some of their routes have been cut?

God Bless the U.S.

Wasn't there also a rumour a few months ago that Branson was going to cancel the 346 order in favor of 777's?
It is not enough to be rude; one must also be incorrect.

Well, I think that Virgin Atlantic is probably going to stick with 10 A346 orders and then order some 773ER no matter what the circumstances are. However, Mr. Branson always has some tricks up his sleeve, so even I may be wrong on what he's going to do. Let's wait and see..........................
