What On Earth Happened To This L-1011 Tristar!

It looks like this L-1011 landed in a sun flower field!

Anyone care to explain this?

It is being broken-up; Amarillo is one of those (ex Air Force Base) airports where such dreadful (but inevitable) things are done...
...three miles from BRONS, clear for the ILS one five approach...

Oh okay. I know that they break up aircraft in Amarillo, its just the plane looked so intact that I was wondering whether this plane really crashed or not!

Ask Ceilidh, he is THE expert in L-1011 in this forum......

It's being parted out - looks like they are after actuators and possibly some of the control surfaces as well.
