CO 742 Freighter!

Sat Oct 20, 2001 1:29 am

Check out this picture courtesy of Galaxy5.

Is that a Continental 747-200F? I didn't know that CO had these and I also didn't know that CO 747s flew still. Can someone please clarify? Thanks!

Looks like an Evergreen International freighter to me.
I'm not aware of Continental having any 747 freighters. But I've been wrong before. Regards.

Is it operating as Evergreen, but once operated for CO?

I think it's the color problem.

I don't think it looks like CO old colors, maybe i'm wrong.I recognized the flag and knew it was Evergreen.

Ok, the type style is the similar, and so is the stripe pattern of the Evergreen and Ex-People Express 747s, but the one in the picture you (Airbus380) posted is an Evergreen International 747.

Yep, good ol' Evergreen International.
It's their plane but probably chartered out to the US Military judging from Galaxy5's other pix of the area he was in. EZ tends to be real active with military and other charter operations.

Can't tell for sure but it's probably an old pax conversion,EZ has some of the oldest 747s out there (If memory serves they still have some of the original Pan Am's, but I could be wrong)

Regards,
Tom

Airbus380,
you posted same question in Galaxy5 topic, and you also recieved emediate response. Obviosly everybody know it is evergreen international, not CO. You dont need to make a separate post about it. In your profile u stated that CO is your favorite. According to that u should know what aircraft they have/ dont have.

BTW- for the last couple of weeks, almost every post writen by you made no sense. Maybe some people dont agree, but i dont belive u are 16-20 years old. I refuse to read your posts anymore. I could make this a separate topic, and i am sure would recive a lot of responses, but i am not going to this. Are u getting high all the time?

I have to agree some what with PolAir, you posts seem very immature (on many levels!), and not well thought out. You come accross as a kid who thinks far to highly of himself!

I know what CO has. They retired the 741/742 from their fleet in 1996/1997. I was wondering Evergreen could have leased them or bought them and not changed the colours.

I'm trying to understand you Airbus380, but surely everyone knows Evergreen International well enough that they have green cheatlines and that Continental of course, would have gold/red cheatlines. If you know the difference it should have been the sense of looking and knowing, this should not have been a question at all. Knowing that the aircraft is clearly in Evergreen International colour scheme, yet you still ask if it has been flown by Continental since they "have not change the colours?" I still don't understand how you would think that the green livery of Evergreen International could be the same as Continental!

I'm just trying to understand, no offence..
