Small Piece Of Air NZ News

Sun Oct 21, 2001 8:52 am

Over the Christmas period, the 767-200 will be operating certain domestic services (CHC-AKL) at certain times of day.

Nice to see a widebody on such a short flight  Smile

It would be even better to see them on a longer flight.

Is this to compete with QF or have they withdrawn their services due to the Ansett collapse

I have my seat booked for the morning flight on QF from Akl to christchurch in mid December. Anybody have any idea what plane type it would be?

Aircraft will likely be a 733 unless you get the FJ 73G.  Smile

Competition isn't the reason for the capacity increase - the demand for seats on that route is just SO huge over that Xmas period that the extra seats are needed.

Here's the exact flight details.

NZ547 AKL 1700 CHC 1820
NZ548 CHC 1905 AKL 2025

are operating as 762 from 23/12 until 05/01.

Nice to see NZers getting behind the flag carrier  Smile
Loads are very very positive right now and expansion in the near future is planned.
