Indonesia's Lion Air to Open Taipei-Seoul, Taipei-Bali Services
TAIPEI, Oct 22 Asia Pulse - Jakarta-based Lion Air is scheduled to open Taipei-Seoul and Taipei-Bali non-stop air services beginning Nov. 6, it was reported Sunday. Taipei-based Far East Air Transport Corp. (TAIEX:5605) will serve as a general agent for Lion Air in Taiwan.

A Far East official said that Lion Air will use Airbus 310s to operate the Taipei-Seoul and the Taipei-Bali route on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays weekly.

The official also said that Far East will offer a variety of tourist packages to lure local travelers.

Lion Air was formally inaugurated a year ago.

I think they don't stand a chance competing with CX and TG on the TPE-ICN route....

Unless they release heavily discounted fares... and I mean heavily......

Yes, it will... and I mean heavily...

By the way, will Lion Air depart from Denpasar? I've heard there will be a route between Seoul/Taipei and one of Sumatra cities.
